About The Location

Lenswood sits in the Adelaide Hills, about 30 km East of Adelaide CBD. The township settlement is spread through a narrow valley and surrounding ridges, making it an incredibly picturesque location for the festival.

Lenswood was established in 1917 and was originally part of the Forest Range area. The region is the state’s largest supplier of apples and pears to local, interstate and overseas markets.

The name Lenswood was chosen to honour a battle near the town of Lens in northwestern France during World War I. Lenswood Memorial Park was established to commemorate those who served in World War II.

Scenic view of rolling hills with lush green and colorful trees, farmland, and a winding road in the countryside.
