Conditions of Entry.

These Conditions of Entry are in place to help ensure a safe, enjoyable and welcoming experience for all attendees. By entering the festival grounds you agree to abide by the following conditions.

General Entry Requirements

Entry is at your own risk.

Festival organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person who does not comply with these Conditions of Entry, behaves in a disruptive or unsafe manner, or acts in a way that negatively affects other attendees, staff or stallholders.

Bag checks and security inspections

All bags, containers, prams and personal belongings may be inspected upon entry. Security staff may ask you to open any item for inspection.

Prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be returned.

Prohibited Items

For the safety of all attendees, the following items are not permitted:

  • Alcohol or any BYO beverages

  • Glass of any kind

  • Large umbrellas

  • Shade tents or structures

  • Illegal substances or weapons

  • Fireworks or dangerous items

  • Drones (unless pre-approved for media use)

  • Illegal items, including drugs, will be handed directly to SA Police.

Licensed Event & Alcohol Service

  • A Taste of The Hills Festival is a fully licensed event.

  • No BYO alcohol is permitted.

  • Attendees must show a valid proof of age to purchase or consume alcohol.

  • Anyone supplying alcohol to a minor or intoxicated person will be removed from the festival and may face penalties under SA law.

  • Intoxicated or disorderly persons may be refused service or asked to leave the venue.

Children & Youth Policy

This is an all-ages event, and families are welcome.

Children under 12 enter free of charge.
Youth under 18 must hold a valid Youth ticket.

All minors must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

A “responsible adult” is defined under the SA Liquor Act as:

  • a parent or legal guardian,

  • a spouse or domestic partner, or

  • a person acting in place of a parent for the duration of the event.

Minors must not engage in disruptive or illegal behaviour.
Underage drinking, drug use, or unsafe conduct will result in the minor and the responsible adult being removed from the festival without refund.

Pets

Friendly, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
Owners must:

  • Keep dogs on a lead at all times

  • Maintain control of their pet

  • Clean up after them promptly

If a dog becomes disruptive or poses a safety risk, the owner will be asked to leave the festival grounds.

Smoking & Vaping

Smoking and vaping (including e-cigarettes) are permitted only in designated smoking areas.
Please follow signage and use bins provided.

Photography, Filming & Media

By entering the festival, attendees consent to being photographed or filmed.
Footage may be used for marketing, media, promotional or archival purposes.

If you wish to avoid being captured in festival imagery, please contact the organisers at admin@atasteofthehills.com.au before the event.

Personal Belongings & Lost Property

Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings.
The festival takes no responsibility for:

  • Lost, stolen or damaged property

  • Items left unattended

Lost property will be held for 48 hours after the event and can be collected by arrangement.

Grounds, Access & Facilities

  • This event is outdoors in a natural environment. Uneven surfaces, variable weather, insects and other outdoor risks may be present.

  • Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

  • Toilets, water stations and shaded rest areas are provided.

  • Accessibility support is available — please contact us prior to the event if you have specific needs.

Parking & Transport

There is no parking directly on the festival grounds, however we have secured four nearby paddocks for parking.
These range from a 50m to 600m walk from the festival entrance.

Free shuttle buses are available from:

  • Sofitel Adelaide (CBD)

  • Crafers Park ‘n’ Ride

  • Mount Barker ‘n’ Ride

  • Discovery Parks Hahndorf

Behaviour & Safety

Attendees may be removed from the festival for:

  • Harassment, aggression or unsafe behaviour

  • Intoxication or drug use

  • Interfering with staff or security

  • Not complying with these Conditions of Entry

No refunds will be provided if removal occurs due to breach of conditions.

Weather & Event Changes

The festival will proceed rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe.
Event organisers reserve the right to:

  • Alter the program

  • Change set times

  • Relocate activities

  • Close areas temporarily due to weather or safety concerns

Liability

By entering the festival, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.
A Taste of The Hills Festival is not responsible for:

  • Injuries or accidents

  • Lost or stolen items

  • Dissatisfaction with vendors, performers, partners, staff, volunteers, service providers or programming

Force Majeure

If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (extreme weather, emergency, natural disaster, government directive, etc.) refunds may not be available.
