Discover the elegance of cool climate Adelaide Hills wines in this intimate hosted tasting with Darren and Lucy Golding.

This one-hour masterclass includes a guided tasting of five Golding Wines, each thoughtfully paired with a curated seasonal grazing plate. Darren and Lucy will share insights into the region’s varietals, vineyard philosophy and what makes Adelaide Hills cool climate wines so distinctive.

From sparkling Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blends to textural whites and expressive Pinot, the tasting offers a beautifully balanced exploration of the Golding portfolio. The grazing plate, curated by Head Chef Evert van Niekerk, features produce from the Golding’s kitchen garden alongside ingredients sourced from local Adelaide Hills suppliers, thoughtfully matched to each wine.

Step behind the bar and refine your cocktail craft with Five Eleven Distilling.

This one-hour hands-on masterclass invites you to create two iconic cocktails

  • An Espresso Martini, and

  • A Limoncello Spritz

Using their premium small-batch spirits and liqueurs, including their signature coffee liqueur and limoncello, you’ll work with fresh citrus, quality mixers and carefully selected garnishes to build each cocktail from start to finish.

This experience includes:

  • One 60-minute hands-on cocktail masterclass

  • Two full-size cocktails crafted by you

  • Step-by-step guidance from the Five Eleven Distilling team

Unwind, sip and create in this relaxed, guided Paint & Sip experience.

Hosted by Brushflicks ‘n Chill & HillTilly Distillery, this one-hour session invites you to slow down and tap into your creative side while enjoying the festival atmosphere. Whether you’re an experienced painter or picking up a brush for the first time, you’ll be guided step-by-step to create your own artwork to take home.

Set within the Lenswood Hall Masterclass Area, this experience offers a calm and creative pause in the middle of your festival day.

This experience includes:

  • One 60-minute guided painting session

  • Your completed artwork to take home

  • A complimentary carry bag

  • One alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, poured by HillTilly Distillery

Scenic Helicopter Flight

Departing directly from the festival grounds, this 10-minute flight with South Australian Helicopters offers sweeping aerial views of rolling vineyards, orchard country, winding roads and the region’s iconic patchwork landscape. From the air, you’ll experience the Hills in a way few do — a rare and memorable perspective that transforms your festival day into something truly exceptional.

This premium experience includes:

  • One 10-minute scenic helicopter flight

  • Exclusive all-day access to the VIP Helicopter Lounge, located beside the main stage

  • Kid Zone

    A Taste of The Hills Festival is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family.

    Our dedicated Kid Zone is run in partnership with Variety – The Children’s Charity and offers a fun, creative space for younger festival-goers to explore while parents relax and enjoy the day.

    Children can take part in a range of activities including mural wall painting, a lucky dip, colouring stations, giant games and more. Pinocchio will also be making special appearances throughout the weekend.

    The Kid Zone provides a welcoming area for families to pause, play and enjoy the festival atmosphere together.

  • Scan & Play Treasure Hunt

    Our much-loved Scan & Play QR Treasure Hunt returns for another year of interactive fun across the festival grounds.

    As families explore the event, children can search for hidden QR codes placed throughout the festival. Each code unlocks a new online game, challenge or activity — creating a playful treasure hunt experience that keeps young festival-goers engaged while they move around the site.

    It’s a fun way for kids to explore the festival, discover new areas and enjoy their own adventure throughout the day.

  • Saddle & Stomp – Main Stage

    Join the fun at our lively Saddle & Stomp line dancing session on the Main Stage.

    Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying it for the first time, this energetic and welcoming session invites festival-goers of all ages to jump in, learn the steps and join the crowd on the dance floor.

    With easy-to-follow routines and plenty of laughs along the way, it’s a feel-good highlight of the afternoon — and yes, the grown-ups are encouraged to join in too.

  • Stirling Mobile Library (Sunday Only)

    On Sunday, families can enjoy a special visit from the Stirling Mobile Library, joining the festival thanks to Adelaide Hills Council.

    The mobile library brings a wonderful selection of books and a welcoming space for children and families to explore, read and relax during the day. It’s a lovely addition to our Family Day atmosphere and another way to celebrate learning, creativity and community at the festival.

    Drop by, browse the shelves and enjoy a quiet moment amongst the festival fun.
