A Taste of The Hills Festival began at our family home in Mount George, with a simple idea to bring people together and celebrate the incredible businesses and producers right here in the Adelaide Hills.

There’s so much to love about the Adelaide Hills, and we wanted to bring people together to enjoy it.
The local wine, the delicious produce, the talented makers and musicians, and the people behind it all.
A Taste of The Hills is our way of sharing these things with you, while supporting the businesses that make our region so special.
A festival born in our backyard.
Believe it or not, this all started with an idea for a horse paint-and-sip at our home. And yes, there were horses at the first festival!
As we reached out to local businesses, we kept hearing how difficult the past few years had been. The 2019 bushfires, followed by COVID-19, had taken a real toll on our region.
We wanted to bring people together, support local businesses and give everyone a reason to celebrate the Adelaide Hills.
So, we decided to throw a party in our backyard.
Meet our family.
Our family has called the Adelaide Hills home for more than forty years, on our farm in Mount George. A Taste of The Hills grew from our love for where we live and a desire to bring people together to celebrate and support our local community.
In 2023, we opened our backyard gates for the first festival and welcomed 600 people. It has since grown far beyond anything we imagined! Each year, we now celebrate with thousands of attendees and hundreds of businesses, all helping us share what makes the Adelaide Hills so special.
For us, the most rewarding part is seeing those connections happen. People discovering a new favourite producer, getting to know a local business or simply enjoying a day in the Hills together. That’s why we started, and it’s what keeps us going.
