Saddle & Stomp

If you’ve been hearing the buzz or spotted a crowd two-stepping down the street on Thursday night chances are you’ve already encountered Saddle & Stomp. The modern line dancing crew has been taking South Australia by storm, bringing boot-scooting, honky-tonk energy to bars, festivals and events right across the state.

Thursday nights at Shotgun Willie’s have quickly become iconic. What starts as a line dancing class often turns into a full-blown street party, with dancers spilling outside, cowboy hats in hand, proving that line dancing isn’t just for country bars anymore.

The movement began in July 2024, when founder Eleni inspired by her Californian roots ran a trial class that instantly took off. What started as a single session evolved into a fast-growing community of dancers looking for something fun, social and a little bit different. Today, Saddle & Stomp is known for its inclusive, modern line dancing with a Californian twist, welcoming everyone from first timers to seasoned dancers.

At its core, Saddle & Stomp is about more than learning steps. It’s about connection, laughter and community, the kind that keeps you coming back week after week. That sense of fun and accessibility is exactly why Saddle & Stomp continues to be invited to some of South Australia’s most-loved events, including A Taste of the Hills Festival, where festival-goers can expect easy-to-follow dances, big energy and a dance floor that fills fast.
